DJ Awards Ceremony - Tuesday 29th September - Pacha Ibiza
DJ Awards return on Tuesday, September 29 at Pacha, Ibiza. This annual awards ceremony is celebrating 18 years. Created backin 1998, this non profit organisation continues to remain the original DJ poll dedicated to the electronic music culture. Past winners who have graced the stage include Frankie Knuckles, Danny Tenaglia, Roger Sanchez, PeteTong and more recently Hardwell, Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Luciano, Jamie Jones, Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler, Solomun, Mano LeTough, Patrick Topping, DJ Harvey, Faithless Sound System, Lenny Kravitz and Madness amongst others.
We are excited to announce the 2015 DJ Awards line-up of Categories & Nominees. 10 DJ categoriesincluding Deep House, Electronica, TechHouse, Techno, Trance, Newcomer, Breakthrough and International DJ. Twocategories have been revamped: Electro becomes Electro/Progressive House; and Drum & Bass/Dubstep changes to Bass - an umbrella for Drum & Bass, Dubstep and Garage. We´ve spent the past few months compiling these nominations with the guidance of a panel of prominent key names within theindustry. The final nominees cross over a broad spectrum of DJs, from those unshakable names riding high to new cutting edge contenders. If you think there are some obvious names missing, that´s due to some DJs feeling that a packed dancefloor is enough recognition for them and we support that 100%! This year’s theme is Meet on the Beat, signifying how music unites everyone, above and beyond the highs and the lows, we will still all meet on the beat!''
The DJ Awards is a celebration that takes place at the end of the Ibiza season to unite DJs and the music industry from all over world. This year the ceremony at Pacha will be followed by an exclusive DJ Awards party featuring some very special guests to be announced soon.
Also announced are 12 Special Industry Awards that will be chosen by the panel, and these awards will be presented during the ceremony.
The categories are now open for the public to vote for their favourites to win the prestigious Kryptonite awards at www.djawards.com.
